.BACKSTORY.
Félitè Aerys Lim, or Fiz, was brought up in a simple family where her parents had instilled in her the value of hard work and compassion toward animals. When she was nine years old, her parents gave her a puppy that they had bought with their savings. She loved the puppy, but it died due to parvovirus. She was so heartbroken, but that put a fire in her to become a veterinarian someday to save the lives of animals so others would not have to go through what she went through.It was not an easy road ahead. While studying at the University of the Philippines Los Baños to become a veterinarian, Fiz had to contend with financial constraints. To support herself, she joined beauty pageants, transforming into a "contesera" known for her poise, intelligence, and determination. Prize money helped offset school fees, and she could concentrate on her studies.Juggling academic and pageant demands proved no easy feat as Fiz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with flying colors. Resilience and resourcefulness became the cornerstones of her career, and today, she is an entrepreneur with a chain of three veterinary clinics and is making her own mark in the profession while still being down-to-earth and ever grateful for those life-defining experiences..DISCLAIMER.
